Hot-Melt Adhesives (HMA)

As an environmentally friendly bonding solution, hot-melt adhesives are widely used in hygiene products, packaging, automotive manufacturing, and beyond. In HMA formulations, hydrocarbon resins play a critical role as tackifiers. EcoGreen's hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins exhibit excellent compatibility with base polymers such as APAO, POE, and EVA. They significantly enhance the wetting and adhesion of the adhesive to various substrates including textiles, paper, paperboard, and plastics, while also imparting superior thermal stability and process adaptability.

Functions of hydrocarbon resin

  • Optimize open time and improve operational efficiency
  • Adjust melt viscosity and flow for better application performance
  • Enhance wetting and adhesion to low-surface-energy substrates
  • Improving odor and color
  • Meet food contact compliance requirements
  • Enhance thermal stability of the adhesive

In Packaging HMAs

EcoGreen ER-400 enhances adhesive adhesion to various substrates.

EcoGreen high-softening-point grades ER-320/ER-330 maintain excellent open time while enabling rapid curing, making them ideal for high-speed packaging adhesive lines.

EcoGreen ER-500 maintains good compatibility while providing strong adhesion to polar substrates.
